Helper
- Arrive ready to work, with required tools
- Stock and load trucks prior to leaving shop, stay busy
- Upon arrival at job, stock material, set up mixing and cutting station
- Prep and clean work area as needed.
- Set up protective measures needed (cover floors and countertops)
- Making thin set and setting up cleaning bucket for setter
- Making cuts and running tools for the setter.
- Continuously keeping working area and tools, saws clean.
- Scraping and cleaning grout lines, prepping for grout.
- Learning and anticipating the needs of the setter.
- Make sure jobsite and work area is cleaned at the end of the day.
- Shop and truck clean up morning and night.
- Responsible for any requests from the field supervisor.

Tile Setter
- Plan for the upcoming week or day (organize materials).
- Gather and load up needed materials and tools for the job.
- Meet with clients to discuss layout and design prior to tile installation.
- Cleaning and protecting prior finishes (floors, counter, etc.)
- Ensure proper use of PPE (hard hats, glasses, etc.)
- Advising clients about foreseeable costs before installation begins.
- Set up/Plan Mixing and cutting station
- Address substrate issues and correct accordingly (Prep work).
- Install waterproofing/crack isolation membranes.
- Tile layout planning, level lines etc.
- Set and arrange tiles according to design plans (Use leveler clips).
- Ability to manage time efficiently (balance time and quality).
- Scrape and clean as you go and the next day.
- Cutting and shaping tiles to size using cutting boards, saws, and angle grinders.
- Prepping for, installing and cleaning grout and caulk. (2nd wipe haze)
- Ensure job site is cleaned at end of day.
- Cleaning off excess grout and conducting post-installation inspections.
- Processing job notes.
- Inspect and repair tools and equipment.
- Educating clients about suitable care for their floors/ tile surfaces.
- Flexible hours, may include weekends/nights.
- Plan for the upcoming week or day (organize materials).
